Hey guys, Red Barron here. Hurricane Harvey and the resulting tropical storm has ravaged the Houston area and outlying areas within at least 100 miles east and west with high winds and devastating rains.
The resulting flooding is considered to be of literal epic proportions and in many instances, has far surpassed the 100 year flood plain in many areas.
Thousands upon thousands of homes have been flooded, lives ripped apart. Families with little, now have nothing. So far, 9 people have been confirmed to have lost their life due to this weather, as of this writing.
But, through all of this, thousands have come together, to help each other like never before. Boats, high water vehicles, canoes, box vans… All to help save the people that are flooded in…
The Just Givin’er guys felt it was their time to try and help. This video shows a very small portion of the flooding around Red Barron and Big Mike’s neighborhood as they tried to help others in need. Due to the low nature of Red Barron’s truck and the deep-v boat, we were unable to launch the boat without flooding out the truck. But we hope this video helps to represent some of the damage caused in and around Houston.
Please, Houston is in need of help! If you can help in any way, please contact the Red Cross to volunteer or donate! God Bless all of those that have been affected by these storms, all of the volunteers, all of the service men and women, and those that will be involved in rebuilding Houston. Be safe and keep on Just Givin’er!
