Early Fall Lake Conroe Bass Fishing – With Red Barron

102917 Lake Conroe

Hey guys, Red Barron here!  There is no better time to be out on the water than in the Fall.  The fish are actively feeding on large balls of baitfish, the weather is nice and cool, and there is generally less traffic at the lake!

Since Big Mike was busy, I decided to venture out on my own to Lake Conroe in Texas to see if I could get in on the beautiful Fall action.  102917 Lake Conroe3

The day started off chilly and foggy…perfect!  With a little bit of time, the fog burned off exposing the beautiful clear day that lied ahead.  102917 Lake Conroe4

What better time to enjoy the lake than during a cruise on a beautiful day?  I decided to try out a drop shot rig (which I have not fished much, by the way) with a green pumpkin Zoom trick worm with a chartreuse dyed tail.  Before long, we had something to show for.  Follow along below and find out what came of this beautiful day!  We’ll see you next time on the water, and remember yer not livin’ til yer just givin’er!!!
