Hey guys, Red Barron here! So, it was July 2022, and the wife and kids were out of town…Time to get in some fishing! Even though saltwater wreaks havoc on my aluminum boat, we had to scratch that itch!
We set out on a Saturday to Freeport, TX, grabbed some live shrimp and launched from Saltgrass Bait & Tackle, and set out for some prime fishing! Just outside of the Freeport dikes, we set up, cast out, and I laid into something I didn’t expect. I reeled in a Bonnethead Shark! I didn’t know at the time what species this was, since it wasn’t freshwater, but enjoyed every bit of it!
